‘We’ll meet again
Don’t know where
Don’t know when
But I know we’ll meet again some sunny day’ By Vera Lynn
As we celebrated the 75th anniversary of VE Day this song has been in my head.
I cant image how hard it was to live though the war and in-particular having to send your children away to be evacuated to safety.
For many I know, being in lock down can sometimes feel like we are fighting a war against an invisible enemy. An enemy that has come to steal our freedom, kill our loved ones and destroy our relationships. However what the enemy didn’t know is being forced to stay at home has strengthened communities and when we are unified we are stronger!
The Great British people survived the war and we will again survive this war against COVID-19.
I took this photo of my little girl as she stared out the window and I couldn’t help but imagine she was missing her grandparents and all her loved ones. But like the song says ‘we’ll meet again some sunny day.’
Looking forward to the celebration when we can hug and embrace each other again ????
Have a great bank holiday
